The OC is responsible for the booking. All other expanses are carried by the competitors. It is up to the competitors to call and contact the hotels and make the bookings and to mention they belong to the “ Grand Prix Tarpan”

 Accomodation and travel costs as well as meals are covered by the competitors or their NFs

 Sufficient sanitary and showering facilities for male and female grooms, with hot and cold water, will be provided by the OC.

 

 B) Horses

 

Stabling will be arranged in movable boxes upon order, it includes straw bedding , the fee is 40,-EUR, for stallions there will be fix boxes including straw bedding, the fee is 50,-EUR starting June 3,´04 to June 7, ´04 /it means that even an only once used box must be paid in this amount/, a cancelled box must be paid in the amount of 20,-EUR.

(all fees has to be paid upon arrival declaration) 

 

It is possible to buy hay for feeding, 5,-EUR per one feeding ball/1 horse/1 day

Shavings are available at showgrounds 5,-EUR per a package.

 

 C) Welcome

 

  The time and date of arrival of riders and horses and their means of transport must be given to the OC in order to facilitate them on arrival.

The competitors are allowed to use their sponsor´s logo on the saddle cloth according to Art. 136.1-2.

2.             VETERINARY ASPECTS “A”

VETERINARY EXAMINATIONS, HORSE INSPECTIONS & PASSPORT CONTROLS

These will be carried out in accordance with the Veterinary Regulations, Art. 1011, 9th Edition, 1st January 2002 & the discipline rules.

 

Veterinary inspection will be on Friday June 4st from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m in front of the stables.

 

“General Regulations”, 20th Edition, revised 1st January 2000, will apply:

 

Art. 139.1

Every horse entered for any competition at CNs or CIMs (see Appendix D) in a foreign country, and all horses entered for other CIs, CIOs, Championships, Regional and Olympic Games, whether at home or in foreign countries, must have an official, valid FEI Passport, or a National Passport approved by the FEI accompanied by an FEI Recognition Card, as a means of identification and to establish ownership.

 

Art. 139.2

Horses taking part in CNs and CIMs (see Appendix D) in their own country are not required to have such a passport as is mentioned in paragraph 1. All such horses must be properly registered and identifiable by diagram. Unless there is no national requirement for equine influenza vaccination in the host country and in the country of origin all horses must have a valid vaccination certificate.

 

EQUINE INFLUENZA VACCINATION, VET. REGS. APPENDIX VI (except events taking place in NZL & AUS)

All horses and ponies for which an FEI Passport, or a National Passport approved by the FEI has been issued, must have the vaccination section endorsed by a veterinarian, stating that it has received two injections for primary vaccination against equine influenza, given no less than 21 days and no more than 92 days apart.

In addition, a booster injection must be recorded as having been given within each succeeding 12 months, subsequent to the second injection of the primary vaccination. None of these injections must have been given within the preceding 7 days including the day of the competition or of entry into the competition stables.

 

The above are the minimum requirements for influenza vaccination. Both primary and first and subsequent booster injections should be given according to the manufacturer's instructions, which will fall within the stipulation of the FEI ruling. In many cases booster injections are recommended by the manufacturers and by National Veterinary Authorities/Regulatory Authorities at intervals more frequent than 12 months.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SAMPLING FOR PROHIBITED SUBSTANCES (Vet. Regs. Chapter V & VI and Annex III)

Regular sampling is carried out in CCI***/****, CSIs (Category A), CIOs, World Cup Qualifiers and Finals, Championships and Games, whereas at other CIs sampling is recommended. In CICs***/****, the number of horses tested is at the discretion of the Testing Veterinarian/Veterinary Delegate; however, a minimum of three is recommended (Art. VR 1017.4)

 

Special guidelines are applicable for events covered by the FEI Medication Control Programme (Groups I & II only).

 

MEDICATION CONTROL PROGRAMME (GROUP I & II ONLY)

The Organising Committees of FEI events within Groups I & II are advised to charge competitors the equivalent of CHF 12.50 per horse per event as a contribution towards the costs of the MCP programme.

 

 

 

3. VETERINARY ASPECTS “B”

 

  HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR THE ENTRY OF HORSES

 

 All horses attending this event have to be provide with special Veterinary certificate and the Veterinary permission for entry into Czech Republic appended to the Schedule

 

 CUSTOMS' FORMALITIES

 The ATA Carnet is required customs document. Teams which do not have such carnet are responsible for handling their own customs formalities including relevant border fees. The map of the border crossing points is appended .The mentioned border crossings are opened for 24 hours.

VIII MISCELLANEOUS

 

 1) OBJECTIONS/COMPLAINTS - (Art. 167, 168, 170 & 171)

 

All complaints and objections to be valid must be made in writing and accompanied by a deposit of CHF 150.- or equivalent.

 

2) GENERAL CLASSIFICATION AT THE END OF THE COMPETITIONS

 

The special prizes which will be distributed :

Leading rider award 

Best woman rider 

Best home horse in comp.8 

 

 3) PRIZE ‑ CLASSIFICATION ‑ (Art. 128, 129)

 

 The prize-giving ceremony will take place inmediately after the end of each competition

 

 4) DISTRIBUTION OF PRIZES AND INDEMNITIES ‑ (Art. 130)

 

 The OC will be distributing financial prizes in the minimum amount of 300.000,-CZK.

On Friday and Saturday the prizes for placed competitors will be distributed in the Show Office from 6.p.m to 7 p.m., on Sunday after the end of the horse performance at the show.

If the competitor does not participate in the prize giving ceremony without a proper excuse in due time, he will lose his claim to obtain his prize.

In each class there will be at least 5 financial prizes distributed. At least one fifth of perticipants in each class will be awarded a prize.

 6) INSURANCES

 

“All owners and competitors are personally responsible for damages to third persons caused by themselves, their employees, their agents or their horses. They are therefore strongly advised to take out third-party insurance providing full coverage for participation in equestrian events at home and abroad, and to keep the policy up to date.”

 

 

 7) EVENT'S ORGANISATION ‑ (Art. 115.2)

 

 In exceptional circumstances, together with the approval of Chefs d'Equipe and Ground Jury the OC reserves the right to modify the schedule in order to clarify any matters or matters arising from an omission or due to unforeseen circumstances. Any such changes must be notified to all competitors and officials as soon as possible and they must be reported to the Secretary General by the Foreign Judge.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 8) ENTRY RIGHT TO SHOWGROUNDS (Art. 133)

 

 Free for all riders , grooms, trainers, team vets, 2 owners per horse.

 

 9) DEDUCTIONS FROM PRIZE MONEY

 

Every competitor is obliged to pay taxes out of their prizes.

 

10) SCHOOLING DURING COMPETITIONS

 

Riders wishing to school during speed competitions must inform the OC before these competitions begin. These riders will start first in these competitions.

 

   11) Technical Meeting, Declaration

 The Declaration will be done at the Show Secretariat June 3, ´04 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.,   the Secretariat will be placed in the RC Office.
